The MOHO
Clearinghouse Evidence-Based Practice Search provides clinicians with
resources for practice and clinical reasoning. This search, which is limited
to the MOHO Clearinghouse website database, includes published articles
and books, case studies, and archived discussions from the MOHO List Serv.
The goal of this site is to provide clinicians with the resources to inform
evidence-based practice. For more information on interpreting and critiquing
resources, we recommend the following sites:

Using the Evidence Based Practice Search:
Step One:
Decide if you would like to conduct a “General” or “Specific” search.
- A general search will provide information
that contains any checked topic areas. For example, if you select the topic
areas “Adolescent and Adult” and “Mental Health” your
results will include any information regarding either mental health or/and
adolescent and adult.
- A specific search will provide information that contains
all checked topic areas. The database will provide results that only match
every checked topic. For example, if you select the topic areas “Adolescent and Adults” and
“Mental Health”, your results will include information that only
addresses adolescent and adult mental health.
- We recommend that you begin with the “General” search
option.
Step Two:
Specify what topics you are interested by checking (single left click) the box next to the topic.
You can select as few as 1 topic in 1 category to multiple topics in multiple categories. Please keep in mind that:
- When conducting a “General” search,
selecting more topics will yield more results, and
- When conducting a “Specific” search,
selecting more topics will yield fewer results.
Step Three:
After you are finished selecting the topics, press the “Submit” button
to obtain the search results!
- Information on the results page is displayed according to resource type (ie, article, case study, etc.)
- You can go back and select more or fewer topics by selecting
the “Refine Search” button on the results page
- The results page can be printed for future reference
- To clear the checked (selected) topics,
use the “Reset” button
